Warning!

There are currently some very worrying advertisements on the internetfor Wolfhound puppies at knockdown prices. These are scams, the puppies do not exist. It is a trick to get people to send off money and that will be the last you will see or hear of your money or a puppy.

One of these people is also advertising Labradors, Afghans, OES, Bassets, Chi’s, Dachshunds, Beagles and Golden Retrievers. The puppies are  allegedly 10 weeks old and available as home bred in many locations from the Isle of Mull to Southern England.

Do not fall for these adverts always look for puppies via the Breed Bodies or The Kennel Club, never be tempted by ads on multi breed websites and never ever send money in advance.

Always visit the Breeders home and see the puppies with their mother before parting with your cash.

ALERT!! ATTENTION!! ACHTUNG!! POZOR!!

SERIOUS AND URGENT WELFARE CONCERN  REGARDING PUPPY ENQUIRIES FROM THE UK

The UK Irish Wolfhound Health Group has been alerted to  a serious and current welfare problem regarding puppy enquiries  made through social media, email and the internet.
A person in the UK is seeking to purchase puppies from breeders in both the UK and Europe, using many different false names and  false information about their suitability and circumstances.
Dogs have already been imported from many European countries  and their health and welfare has been the cause of grave concern  within the IW community and the vets dealing with them.
If you receive any puppy enquiries from the UK from someone  you do not know personally, or through a trusted friend in the UK,  PLEASE contact the IWHG or any of the UK breed bodies,  who will be happy to help you and will organize to check the person on your behalf.

WE URGE YOU TO MAKE THOROUGH CHECKS BEFORE PARTING WITH YOUR PUPPIES.
